Trading a top 10 talent that is just entering his prime years and adding power is never easy, but I still have Bo Bichette (who I slightly overpaid to get). At first glance, you make think that I am getting way too much, but what you might not notice at first glance is that I am taking on $65m worth of dead weight spread out over 4 years. Maybe I get lucky and Khris Davis turns it around and Cole Hamels gets picked up by a team, or maybe Josh Lindblom wasn't a one hit wonder, but more than likely I'll be stuck with these until they expire.
Dealing with the Brewers was actually pretty fun. He knows his stuff, trust his scouting abilities, and values accordingly. I can immediately slot Kirilloff and India into my line up and hope that they continue to grow, while hot starts from Cole Winn, Cole Ragans, and Bryce Ball could mean a bright fute or a footnote to a lackluster career. Either way, I am happy with the return and hope to be relevant in a couple of years. Until then, the Brewers got significantly better and improved his future outlook to add more talent down the line. Good luck, I hope you win it all
