Toronto sends Kolten Wong to his 3rd team of the season, the Houston Astros along with the 6th pick of the 2022 draft.
In exchange, Houston sends the following - Ryan McKenna - Jose Bonilla - Dominic Pipkin - 2022 2nd Rnd Draft Pick - 2022 7th Rnd Draft Pick
As usual, Toronto accumulates more stock in the future. Astros are winning now and the clear front-runners in the league.
Houston GM is a solid conversable partner - we wish him the best.

Confirmed:
Solak’s demotion and trades left a huge whole in the Astros lineup. Miller and Kim just don’t get enough consistent AB’s. The only other internal option Travis Shaw, took a hit with the Brewers MLB trade of Escobar and the play of Urias. So Wong was brought in to fill that hole rather then counting on a committee. Wong has been pretty consistent and at a decently reasonable price.
Eventually we will have a log jam at 2B if Solak comes to form and will need to we still need address 3B in the off-season. I believe this will get us through this season though.
Appreciate the easy negotiations with the Jay’s. Price seems fair. Obviously I like he prospects being that I drafted them and the second round pick will net a top 60 draft prospect that could easily be in the top 100 next year. Hope It works out for both teams.
