Rangers Receive: Harry Ford C/SEA (Spec)- FYPD Pick 1.17 Lonnie White Jr OF/PIT (Spec)- FYPD Pick 2.16 Casey Schmitt 3B/SFG (Spec) Eric Pardinho SP/TOR (Spec) 2023 FYPD 2nd Rd Pick (BoSox)- Pls note: Jays may change the 2nd rd pick to a different 2023 2nd as I gave him permission
Jays Receive: 2023 FYPD 1st Rd Pick (TEX) Ryan Brasier RP/BOS T.J. Zeuch RP/StL (Spec)
This one took some back and forth but finally got done. Doing this to gain a nice 3B w/considerable upside in Schmitt, and then invest in 2 high upside picks from this past Draft in Ford and White. Ford will make a nice complement to Ruiz and hopefully White will be in my OF in the near future. Pardinho is the wildcard, but with my strength in the minors at SP, I can afford the gamble on him.
Nice dealing Jays

Confirmed -- and we will go with the 2023 Red Sox 2nd Round pick.
By 2023 - we mean next year's FYPD (listed as 2023).
Toronto aims to accumulate as many high Rnd 1 2023 FYPD draft picks as possible.
Our research and projections indicate this will be an epic draft for many future stars.
Although Harry Ford and Lonnie White Jr were the best available picks in this year's draft at those spots, they don't fit the profile of the kind of bats / prospects Toronto prefers.
Casey Schmitt is blocked by Devers and we have depth in pitching prospects to deal for the pick and two more solidified MLB level pitching talent.
The future looks bright for our competitive timeline in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, especially now with six 2023 1st Rnd picks and 16 picks in the top 100.
