Rangers are doing this because they feel the value gained from trading Yu back to Brewers is greater than the value if the club kept him. This deal nets the Rangers 2 top 30 prospects and a young SP with upside in Vlad. Meyer could be the frontline starter now in Miami as Sixto is dealing with injury. Luciano is another do it all SS who could be up sooner than later in the season and have a huge impact on the team. Losing Kelenic hurts, but the team still has a good feeling on the deal as we got younger and more versatile for the future.
