Rangers doing this to get some now talent that can also help in the future. Soler may have been around for a while, but there is not near the wear and tear on his bat as there is with other power bats his age (29). Also, with a career OPS+ of 111, he will continue to contribute in the near future providing solid power totals. The prospects received may be a little overlooked, but Wilson is a solid pen arm and D'Orazio is still young enough that his potential is nice. Losing the specs we did hurt, but we are confident the deal will help in the now and future.
